K9 In Training - Level 1 Obedience 
Prerequisite:
​Generally there is no Prerequisite--except for dogs 6 months & up.

Notes:

​This 6-week course gives pets a solid foundation of basic behaviors.


Untrained "owners" and adolescent/adult dogs can become easily distracted by their environment, which is why this class focuses on important impulse-control exercises.

​Class Teaches:
  • Foundation Training and Dog Learning Concepts​​​​​: 
    Positive Re-enforcement, Trust and Respect​, Condition Response, Reward Base System,
    ​Alpha-Pack Leadership and More.
  • Command Structure:
    ​Understanding the importance of "Yes", "ah-ah" and "Name" Recognition, Commanding vs Begging (you begging your dog to do something), and more. 
  • Use of Multiple Cues​​:
    Verbal (2 different languages and Whistle Commands), Visual (Sign Language) and Mechanical (Leash Flicking).
  • Commands:
    ​Puppy Cradle, Take It, ​Sit, Watch Me, Post, Come, Off, Down, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Sit/Wait, Down/Wait, Loose Leash Walking (Let's Go, Stop, Heel-Left, Right-Turn, Left-Turn), and more.
